Spring Break Virus
We had Spring Break last week and it sure was beautiful!
The weather was absolutely perfect and we spent a lot of time enjoying the outdoors.
Just as we were ending our fun-filled vacation week and preparing to get back into the saddle of our regular routine, a virus hit our little guy.
Ohhhh the virus...
The nasty-nasty horribly nasty virus!
My joyful and energetic chatterbox was resolved to laying on the couch all day every day for the past five days.
It sure is difficult watching your baby battle a virus.
My days were spent feeling his forehead, shoving a thermometer in his ear, coaxing him to swallow a syringe full of medicine, begging him to drink plenty of water, and praying for a healing.
While my nights were spent waking every two hours checking his forehead, shoving a thermometer in his ear, coaxing him into swallowing a syringe full of medicine, begging him to drink plenty of water, and still praying for a healing.
Today is the sixth day of this terrible virus and I'm PRAISING GOD that he made it through the day with only mild temperatures.
After two visits to the doctor, he finally appears to be on the mend......thank the good Lord!
Maybe tonight I'll wake up every three hours instead of every two to check his forehead, shove a thermometer in his ear, beg him to drink plenty of water, and continue to pray for a healing.
